UK's National Crime Agency director to appear in spot-fixing allegations against Pak players
BIPIN DANI
MUMBAI, July 13: The Pakistan Cricket Board appointee tribunal to investigate the spot, match fixing in the Pakistan Super league (PSL) has invited the National Crime Agency (NCA) official to give evidence against the alleged fixers, it is learnt here.

According to the highly placed sources in the PCB, Andrew Ebhware, the director of the crime agency in England has been requested to give his opinion of the fixing charges. The agency first alerted to the ICC and the PCB that the attempts would be made for the spot-fixing in the PSL.

The NCA official is likely to first give his opinion on charges against Sharjeel Khan, who has been suspended by the PCB pending inquiries against the left-handed batsman.

Recently the former Pak. bowler Aaqib Javed was asked to furnish his expert views on two dot balls played by Sharjeel han.

"Aaqib accepted that the dot balls are bowled in every match and stretching by players is also done as a routine. Aaqib, after viewing the footage shown by the PCB, also accepted that first ball of the second over could have been left as it was outside the off stump", the source close to the PCB said over telephone.

PCB also filed an application to place on record interview recordings of Khalid Latif to which Sharjeel's lawyer (Shaigan Ijaz) strongly objected, it is learnt here. The lawyer will now also cross-examine the NCA director on Friday.
