Launch of RTI-online portal by Delhi Govt.
ActIT Jammu, ASP.net Projects, Java, Vb.net, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal fondly remembered his old colleagues Aruna Roy and Nikhil Dey apart from Anna Hazare during his inaugural-speech for launch of RTI-online portal for 172 departments of Delhi government. It may be recalled that Arvind Kejriwal was a team-member along with Nikhil Dey in the RTI movement launched under leadership of Aruna Roy.

However RTI on-line portal of Delhi government has a small lacuna when option for filing RTI applications and subsequent transfer under section 6(3) of RTI Act does not include three municipal corporations in the city, New Delhi Municipal Council and Delhi Police. Inclusion of these public-authorities in select-option is necessary because many of RTI applications received in various offices concerning Delhi government are to be transferred at these public-authorities, which presently will have to be done manually.

Arvind Kejriwal insisted on compliance of section 4(1)(b) of RTI Act. It can be practically done when DoPT simplifies it by having some important information initially. However all expenses at public expense regarding tours, travels and medical reimbursement should be compulsorily put on website of respective public-authorities to effectively check misuse.
