BJP activist killed in Pulwama
SRINAGAR, Jun 18: Unidentified gunmen killed a BJP activist in Pulwama last night.

The deceased was identified as Aijaz Ahmad Malik of Arubagh Pinjglena. He was also working as a labourer. Reports said Aijaz was returning home from a neighbouring mosque after offering late evening prayers. As he reached near his house, the gunmen opened fire at him from close range.

Aijaz was critically injured and removed to local hospital. He was shited to SMHS hospital here for treatment. But he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was the only bread earner of his family. A number of people joined his funeral.

Police said he was killed by militants and efforts are on to nab them.
