IGP Kashmir seeks cooperation in fight against unlawful activities

SRINAGAR, May 23: In its endeavor to reach out to the general public and to review the working of Police, the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Munir Ahmad Khan visited North Kashmir’s today.
During his visit, IGP chaired Darbar of Jawans in DPL Sopore and Police Community Partnership Group meeting at Tarzoo in the morning and in the afternoon he chaired darbar of jawans and public meeting at DPL Baramulla.
IGP While chairing these darbars heard the police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine grievances would be looked into on priority. He impressed upon the jawans and officers about the importance of common people and role of J&K Police in ensuring their safety and security. He directed the officers to hold orderly rooms regularly at various levels for the redressal of genuine issues of Jawans. He also stressed for maintaining the pressure on militants and militancy relatives activities.
IGP also chaired a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Police Station Tarzoo and a public Darbar at District lines Baramulla. Interacting with the people, IGP sought their cooperation in fight against the unlawful activities for the betterment of the society. IGP said that his priority is the youth and their future and added that with the help of people the energy of the youth could be channelized in the positive directions for their better future.
IGP, also inaugurated recreation hall and Gym for the Police personnel in Sopore.
