Govt taking every step for development sports culture in State: Ruhullah

SRINAGAR, Oct 22:The Minister for Sheep & Animal Husbandry and Science& Information Technology, Agha Syed Ruhullah said that sports are important curriculum activity for keeping the ones mind sound and healthy.

The Minister was addressing a large gathering of sports lovers after inaugurating one day “Best physique Mr. Kashmir -2012”.The event was organised by District Body Building Association Srinagar, Kashmir at Indoor Sports Stadium Complex, Srinagar the other day.

The Minister expressed his happiness over organising such kind sports event in Kashmir and said that the Government is very much keen to develop sports culture in the State so that the our Youth may not only prove their metal in education sector but also excel in other fields like sports etc. He said the participants have worked hard while building their bodies and added that accordingly the others will also follow them. He said that when the bodies are healthy, ultimately our mind and souls will also be sound.

The Guest of honour and Minister of State for Home and Tourism, PHE, H&UD and Revenue Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani said that organising of such kind of competitions would surely boost the youth in taking part in other sports activities and will help them for keeping their health sound and fit. He was informed that 50 Competitors participated in this grand championship.

In below 60 kg Sajad, Mukhtar and Ahrar,were declared Ist, 2nd and 3rd while in below 65 kg, MuzafarBhat ,Shafat and Salman secured Ist, 2ndand 3rd position. Accordingly in below 70 kg,Umar was declared Ist, Yaseen 2nd and Imtiyaz 3rd similarly in below 75 kg category, Altaf, Waseem & Javed were declared Ist, 2nd & 3rd and in below 80 kg ,Khalid has been declared Ist, Prizes 2nd and Salman Bukhari 3rd position.

Below 85kg, Umar Rashid, Monis and Shameem has been declared Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively while below 90 kg category, Fahad Bhat adjudged Ist Position. In open category, Shahid, Imran and Mehraj were declared Ist, 2nd and 3rd.
