SRINAGAR, May 17: JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik today ruled out talks with government of India saying that New Delhi has adopted a rigid stance and is only interested in killing Kashmiris.
He was speaking at a seminar at the Hurriyat Conference (M) headquarters at Rajbagh here on death anniversaries of Mirwaiz Moulana Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone. Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq could not attend the seminar since he was placed under house arrest. Other senior separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Shabir Ahmad Shah too continued under house arrest.
“Mirwaiz was scheduled to preside over a seminar at Hurriyat head office in Rajbagh. But he was informed about his house detention at 9:30 AM ahead of the seminar at Hurriyat office,” media advisor to Mirwaiz advocate Shahid said. Shahid said he also has been placed under house arrest.
During his speech, Malik said the united leadership has irritated Delhi like anything and efforts were on to break the unity.
He accused New Delhi of following rigid policies in Kashmir today and said that there can be no dialogue with the people who follow fascist ideology.
“United leadership has irritated Delhi like anything and efforts were on to break the unity. It is time to hail and appreciate the contribution of every single person who is affiliated with the movement. There can be no dialogue with the fascists like RSS and BJP as they know only one language which is to kill and muzzle the genuine dissent,” JKLF chairman said.
The seminar was organised to pay homage to Mirwaiz Moulana Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone on their anniversaries and the victims of Hawal massacre of May 21, 1990.
