Youth injured during recruitment rally

AKHNOOR, May 17: A youth was injured after being allegedly beaten up by army jawans as he alongwith other youth created uproar during army recruitment rally and allegedly raised anti national slogans here today.
Police sources said that today youth from Poonch district turned up army recruitment rally at Akhnoor. Some youth failed to clear the physical test (run) and they were asked to leave by the army authorities. These youth assembled near Army Gate Akhnoor and allegedly started raising anti-India slogans.
They created uproar blaming army for bias after which army jawans on duty use mild force to disperse them. One of the youth identified as Zaffar Hussain Shah of Surankote sustained injury in his arm.
The cops later reached the spot and defused the situation. The cops provided injured youth treatment and asked him to leave for his home.
