Green wins 1st Jammu Masters Badminton League

JAMMU, May 14: Green team emerged winner of the Ist Jammu Masters Badminton League Tournament held at Badminton hall of the District Police Lines (DPL) here today.
Green side made it a 4-2 win. The four-team in this league, comprised of eight players in each side, were Green, Red, Black and Blue.
The matches were conducted on rotational manner with each team playing six games in each age group. The age groups for men's doubles were 75 plus, 85 plus, 95 plus and 110 plus.
Retired Inspector General of (J&K) Police, Gulzar Singh Slathia was chief guest, who presented the running trophy to the winning Green team.
Among others present were secretary Jammu City and District Badminton Association, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Surinder Gupta, Raghubir Sharma, Rohit Devan and Kirti Sharma.
The matches were officiated by the technical penal including Sarvanan, Sukhdev Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Adersh Singh and Ranjit Singh.
