Dr Pradeep Memorial Badminton tourney begins

JAMMU, May 12: Dr Pradeep Sankhyadhar Memorial J&K Open Badminton Tournament organised by the Young's Badminton Club in collaboration with Jammu City and District Badminton Association began at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Around 200 young shuttlers in different age groups are taking part in this competition which was declared open by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Rajesh Gupta in a well attended function. Junior vice president of Chamber of Commerce, Rajeev Gupta was guest of honour.
Sher Singh and Varinder Sharma (Incharge STC Jammu) were special guests.
Those who were present were general secretary of the Association, Dr OD Sharma; secretary of district badminton association, Balbir Jamwal; general secretary of hosts Young's Badminton Club, Romesh Kumar; Som Raj Gupta, Satpal Sharma (SAI Badminton Coach), Sultan Mirza, Pawanjeet Singh, Saravanan, Gurvinder Singh and Puran Chand.
