JAMMU, May 11: The state government Thursday appointed Parvez Ahmad as vice chairman of Board of Directors of J&K State Road Transport Corporation with immediate effect.
As per an order No. 37 TR of 2017 issued today by Secretary to Government Transport department, Parvez has been appointed as vice chairperson of the JKSRTC.
On May 9, the Government appointed six nominees as vice chairperson on the Board of Directors of the Corporations under the administrative control of the Industries and Commerce Department.
According to an order issued by Additional Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Gulzar Ahmad Dar will be vice chairperson of J&K Industries Limited, Syed Attaullah Simnani is vice chairperson J&K Minerals Limited, Nazir Itoo is vice chairperson J&K Cements Limited, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat is vice chairperson J&K Handloom Development Corporation Limited and J&K Handicrafts (S&E) Corporation, Dr Ali Mohammad Mir is vice chairperson J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation, and Subash Jandial is vice chairperson J&K State Industrial Development Corporation.
Syed Bari Andrabi has been appointed as the new Vice Chairman of Jammu Kashmir State Cable Car Corporation. Bari, who was the Deputy Director Prosecution, resigned to join PDP in 2014. Hailing from Pucchal village in Pulwama, Bari has served as Chief Prosecuting Officer Srinagar from 2002 to 2013.
The aforementioned Vice Chairpersons would be paid a consolidated monthly salary of Rs 80,000 in addition to perks and privileges admissible under relevant rules to be paid by the line departments.
In March, the government had appointed 16 VCs but it had to rescind the orders due to Model Code of Conduct during parliamentary by-polls in Srinagar seat
