KAS aspirants protest against JKPSC for mass error in KAs prelim result

JAMMU, May4: A large number of KAS aspirants protested today against the JKPSC for mass error in KAS prelim and demanded the cancellation of recently held pre-result of KAS 2016-17.
The aspirants claimed that more than 5000 students who scored above 300 marks has not been included in qualified candidates despite the fact that the cut off marks were 270 and those(blue eyed) scored less than 270 marks get qualified into the list. They said that the efficient and deserving candidates didn't find a place in the list rather may be due to computer or answer key error.
They added that even the IAS, KAS interview droppers and those preparing since 2009 did not find any place in the list and alleged that why the JKPSC hesitates in releasing the Answer Key.
They further added that this matter will not be tolerable either it might be manual or computer generated error.
Demanding the cancellation of result and its fresh conduction, they said that the whole episode should immediately be inquired by the SVO and an FIR should also be launched against the Chairman and Secretary of JKPSC.
They demanded the personal intervention of the Chief Minister to reconduct the fresh examination and lift the Deva Commission with immediate effect otherwise they'll continue their protest. They
also demanded the CM to form a new commission with all IAS officers as members and a UPSC qualified Chairman and raised slogans.
