Situation in J&K "alarming": Bhalla
Administrative machinery utterly paralyzed
JAMMU, Apr 20: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that the situation in Jammu & Kashmir was "alarming" and attacked the central and state governments, saying the repeated incidents of attacks was a result of "weak and flawed" policies to deal with cross-border terror aided and abetted by Pakistan.

He also slammed coalition Govt for poor deliverance with utter failure on its part to address and redress the genuine urges and aspirations of the people of the state and to redeem its promises.

Bhalla while addressing block level meeting near green belt park area Thursday said the government had been high on rhetoric and low on delivery with all its tall claims, airy slogans and loud pronouncements having fallen flat.“Despite BJP claimed liberal central funding and a plethora of Centrally-sponsored schemes announced to support the infrastructural development of the state, the delivery on the ground has been negligible. The politico-constitutional apparatus has collapsed and the administrative machinery having completely been paralyzed, the faith of the common man has been completely shaken,” Bhalla alleged.

Ridiculing the tall claims and exaggerated dissonance of the ruling alliance, Bhalla said that the govt is indulging in hypocritical self praise and self adulation without delivering anything on the ground. He lambasted the most hostile discrimination doled out to Jammu region in multifarious sectors including development projects, devolution of funds, Employment opportunities, share in professional institutions, Rural connectivity, power, Health Sector, Tourism promotion besides others.

He reminded the state govt. of its promises of one job for each family which had been casually dismissed. In the same way, Pak Refugees, PoK Refugees and migrants of Jammu region were the most neglected lot with no govt initiative to address their concern. Issues of govt. employees also failed to attract attention of govt.

Bhalla blamed both PDP and BJP for exploiting people by playing with their emotions on good governance drama being staged by them. He claimed that both the parties have lost the ground miserably. He said that Congress Party stands guarantee to the equitable development of all the three regions and the people. It will continue to serve the people to the best of it’s ability

Bhalla said that the governance failures writ large in almost every field, adding to the miseries of each and every section of the society. The government has failed to ensure delivery at the basic levels like availability of ration, power, health, education sector & unemployment besides the farmers. The employees of different categories including teachers, daily wagers, casual and need based workers and other such categories of people are regularly seen on protests for their just and genuine demands. This kind of situation has disappointed every common man who are already facing the brunt of ‘Achhe Din’ promise of Modi government, as the prices of all essential commodities and items of daily use have increased manifold.
