5 injured in Kupwara landslide

SRINAGAR, Apr 18: Five persons were injured today in a landslide in Macchil sector of Kupwara district, police said.

“Five persons were injured when they came under a landslide at Chontiwari Payeen in Macchil sector this morning,” a police official said.

They were rescued by locals and shifted to a nearby army hospital, he said.

“While four persons were discharged after treatment, one person was shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for further treatment,” the official added.
