Yasin released from central Jail

SRINAGAR, Apr 15: JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was released on bail from Central Jail here today.
According to his party spokesman, Malik was presented before 1st additional district and session judge who after a long discussion ordered to release him on bail.
“He was taken back to Srinagar central jail from where he was released this evening. Chairman JKLF was arrested by police on March 18 and sent to central jail on a 12 days judicial remand. On March 29, he was again presented before 2nd additional session’s judge who again remanded him to judicial custody until April 11,” the spokesman said.
He added that on April 11, Malik was again presented before court and sent to central jail on remand toll April 16. “It is worth mentioning that JKLF chairman was put in jail on a concerted case under 13 unlawful activity act dated 17/2016. Another JKLF senior member Muhammad Irfan Khan, who was in Central Jail, Srinagar for the last 30 days was also today presented before court and court has again sent him on an eight days judicial remand. He was again taken back to central jail Srinagar. JKLF strongly condemns his prolonged detention,” the spokesman said.
