161 Bn wins Inter-Ops Bn CRPF volleyball trophy -2017

JAMMU, Mar 18: Inter-Ops Bn volleyball tournament-2017 organised under the auspices of Srinagar Sector, CRPF at 44 Bn HQ concluded today.

The final match was played between 115 Bn & 161 Bn CRPF. 161 Bn won the championship by defeating 115 Bn by set of 2-1. CT/GD Bapan Mondal of 115 Bn was adjudged as the best player of the tournament.

Total 25 teams of various Battalions & institutions under the operational jurisdiction of Srinagar Sector, CRPF participated in the event which lasted for 03 days. The closing ceremony was attended by various CRPF & civil police dignitaries amongst other CRPF officers & personnel.

Speaking on the occasion, Narinder Paul, DIGP North Srinagar, the chief guest emphasised on the need of a healthy body & a healthy mind and informed the spectators that ‘Sports’ in any form is the biggest source of achieving this objective.

Reflecting on the necessity of a respite from exacting duties performed by the personnel, he conveyed that more & more event of such nature, not only within the Force but also for the Civilians are in offing which would provide an opportunity to CRPF to further its bond with the local populace.

He congratulated all players/participants with a special words of appreciation for both the finalist. The event concluded with the formal declaration of closing by the Chief Guest.
