VOK arrests ex-BMO, others in corruption case

JAMMU, Mar 17: Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) claimed to have arrested ex-BMO and 2 others of BMO Office Beerwah and then Warden KGBV Boniyar in corruption case.
Official reports said that today Vigilance Organization Kashmir arrested Dr Fayaz Ahmad Banday, ex BMO Beerwah, Mushtaq Ahmad Parray Cashier and Zahoor Ahmad Banday Pharmacist of Block Medical Office Beerwah in Case FIR number 26 of 2014 Police Station VOK under section 5(1) (c) r/w 5(2) J&K PC Act Samvat 2006 and section 120-B RPC.
It was alleged that during the year 2008 to 2011, they have misappropriated government money/funds to the tune of Rs 1.54 crore meant for salary of employees and for implementation of different schemes, reports added.
Meanwhile, in another case Vigilance Organization Kashmir has arrested Sajad Ahmad Mir the then Warden Kastooba Gandhi Balika Vidiyalaya (KGBV) Boniyar in Case FIR number 29 of 2014 registered at Police Station VOK under section 5(2) PC Act-2006 r/w section 120-B RPC into the allegations that during the financial year 2013-14 government funds under SSA Scheme have been misappropriated to the tune of Rs 25 lakhs.
The Investigation in both the cases is going on for further course of action, reports added.
