JAMMU, July 8: Raising Star Sopore outclassed Unique Cricket Club Hajam Mohalla in the second round of the ongoing Sopore T-20 Cricket meet being played at Khushal Sports Stadium Sopore.
The first match was played between Unique Cricket Club Hajam Mohalla and Raising Star Sopore. Batting first, Unique Cricket Club set a target of 130 runs all out in 18.5 overs.
In reply, Raising Star fought well and win the match in 19.3 overs after the losing 2 wickets. For his individual score of 40 runs and taking two wickets Mohd Shafi of winning team was declared as man of the match.
The second match of the tournament was played between Ammuatuar Sports club Badamibagh and Neharpora cricket club. Playing first Neharpora club scored 118 runs all out. Batting second, Ammuatuar could make only 114 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Losing the match by 05 runs. Shabir Ahmad of the winning team was declared man of the match, for his individual score of 20 runs and clinching three wickets also.
A total of 16 matches will be played during this round of the contest and the winning 08 teams will play quarter finals.
