Coalgate and CBI role

Kashmir Times. Dated: 6/5/2013 10:59:59 PM

Dear Editor,
No government since Independence has been as badly battered and shattered as UPA led by Manmohan Singh with Sonia Gandhi as UPA Chairperson and Congress president. Morality in high offices of public has never stooped so low. Never before have we seen so many thick skinned persons in the government when the working of government has come under cloud/dock a panel of ministers (who are masters in art of manipulations and tricking with cunning tactic) including CVC and CBI Director for suggesting to CBI the steps to be needed for granting autonomy to CBI. Jan Lok Pal has now come to central stage. Accused cannot be judges in their own faults and it is altogether another matter that they have assumed the status of judges in their own wrong doings over here.
Adverse strictures passed by Apex court in Coalgate scandal in which CBI has been described a caged parrot, having many masters and is speaking in its' masters voice. Investigating agency should be made accountable and brought within the ambit of RTI act and Independent with no control of government. CBI Director Ranjit Sinha has welcomed the courts, warning to government but cautioned that such moves should have hand in hand with steps to ensure that it does not become a rogue agency. After castigation by apex court, Director has no locus standi to make assertions on which rat is smelling.
