Refresher course organises for refree, judges in wrestling

JAMMU, June 2: J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association today announced that refresher courses for refree, judges shall be held at Baba Mir Shah Akhara Domana from June 6 to 7.

The course shall be held under the guidance of international referee and Judges from Punjab Sohan Singh and Raman Kumar.

This decision was taken in a meeting of the association held at Katra under the chairmanship of its President Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also Member J&K State Sports council.

In the course the latest amendment in the rule and regulation of Indian Style Wrestling will be given to the officials. The association has selected officials which included Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Rajesh Kumar Ramotra, Raj Singh, Lehar Singh (Retd. Capt.),Vijay Singh (B0ju), Murli Dhar, (Munna), Deepak Wazir, Prem Kumar Verma, Tulinder Kumar, Balwan Singh Sarpanch, lashman Singh, Sagar, Om Parkash Verma, Varinder Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma and Mohd. Fareed for course.

Interested official can also contact Shiv Kumar Sharma (94194 61880) to get their name registered for the said course.

Those attended the meeting were Prem Choudhery, Inderjeet Khajuria, Rakesh Khajuria, P.R Sharma, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Sardar Khan, Mulk Raj Sharma, Prem Kumar Verma, Sanjeev Sharma, Shatrugan Jamwal, varinder Kumar, Raj Hussain and Mohd. Fareed.

Grenade attack on police station in Anantnag, civilian injured
SRINAGAR, June 2: A civilian was injured after an unidentified person hurled a grenade at police station Sherbagh, Anantnag this evening. Reports said the unidentified person at around 8.50 PM hurled a grenade towards the police station from the side of Maternity and Child Hospital located adjacent to it.
