BCCI Farce: Srinivasan does not resign

CHENNAI, June 2 (Agencies): N Srinivasan will step aside as BCCI President till investigation into IPL spot-fixing scandal is over. However, he will not resign as the BCCI chief.
Till that time, Jagmohan Dalmiya will take care of day-to-day affairs of BCCI. He will take over as the interim chief, a provision that does not exist with the BCCI.
The decision was taken in the BCCI's Emergency Working Committee meeting that took place in Chennai.
BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale and Treasurer Ajay Shirke have reportedly been asked to withdraw their resignation.
Below is the formal press release by BCCI.
Mr. N. Srinivasan announced that he will not discharge his duties as the President of the Board till such time that the probe is completed. Till such time, Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya will conduct the day to day affairs of the Board.
The Committee expressed full confidence in Mr. Sanjay Jagdale and Mr. Ajay Shirke and requested them to withdraw their resignations in the larger interest of the Board.
