Inter School tourney: Anchal bags gold medal in Epee event

JAMMU, May 30: Anchal Gupta from St Xavier Convent School won gold medal in Epee, Under-17 years age group of the ongoing District level Inter School tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports here.
In Under-17 years, Epee second place was went to Jhanvi Verma of DBN School.
In Under-17, girls Sabre, Priya Khajuria and Mansi Sharma (Carmel Convent School shared top two positions respectively.
Under-14 Foil girls: Ananya Sharma (APS Jammu Cantt) and Arushi Sharma (APS Domana ) swept first and second positions respectively. In Under-14 yrs, Sabre, Tufibiya Matto (Presentation Convent School remained first while the second place went to Riya Bakshi (APS Domana).
Taekwondo, Under-17 yrs (girls): Below-35kg: Palak Sawhney ( New Era). Below-38 kg: Ainbreen Fathima (MIER), Below-41kg: Sadika Charak(Mahavir Jain). Narmitta Katoch (Sanik P School), 48 kg: Simran Bhat (Tiny Tots), Above 60 kg: Meena Bali (Carmel Convent).
Taekwondo, Under-14 yrs (girls): 29 kg: Manshi Dubey (Shastri Memorial); 32kg: Dhawni Pandita (Jodhamal) and Poorvi Sharma(APS Nagrota); 35 kg: Komal Dhiman (St Xavier), 38 kg: Apoorva Jamwal (APS Nagrota) and above 38 kg: Riya Chib (Tiny Tots ).
