13 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Mar 31: Thirteen persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
According to an official handout issued here today, a Tavera bearing registration number JK01/5084 hit and injured a pedestrian Bashir Ahmad Gojri, age about 20 years, son of Lal Gojri resident of Batergam at Batergam, Kupwara, in the jurisdiction of police station Kupwara. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
Besides this., a Tavera bearing registration number JK03B/1920 hit and injured Shakeela Begum, age about 50 years, wife of Wali Mohammad resident of Pazalpora at Brakpora, Anantnag, in the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
An unidentified vehicle hit and injured two pedestrians Muzaffar Ahmad Dar son of Farooq Ahmad and Zahoor Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rahim residents of Boniyar, Hanjan, Baramulla at Barsoo, Awantipora on National Highway in the jurisdiction of Police station Awantipora. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment where from they were referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Bus bearing registration number JK03/2207 on way from Anantnag to Srinagar turned turtle near Chandhara, Awantipora, in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Pampore, resulting injuries to seven passengers. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pampore for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01K/5221 on way from Trehgam to Kupwara collided with a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK01Q/5108 at Tikker, Kupwara, in the jurisdiction of police station Kupwara, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Hilal Ahmad Lone, age about 30 years, son of Mohammad Anwar and pillion rider Shabir Ahmad Bhat son of Ali Mohammad residents of Guzriyal, Kupwara. The injured were shifted to Sub district Hospital, Kupwara for treatment, where from Hilal Ahmad was referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, while as Shabir Ahmad referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
