Seminar on “Our responsibilities towards Orphans, Widows, Destitute’

SHOPIAN, Jul 5: For collective, concerted, sustained and effective result oriented measures to ensure dignified rehabilitation of orphans, widows & destitutes in the civil society, a seminar titled “Our Responsibilities towards Orphans, Widows & Destitute”, was organized by the J&K Yateem Foundation (JKYF) here today.
Chief Education Officer Shopian, Abdul Hamid Kumar, Principal DIET Shopian, Surinder Kumar, Sekhawat Centre representative, Abdul Qayoom Dar, Master Riyaz Ahmad Khaki, J&K Yateem Foundation Patron, Syed Abdul Hamid and J&K YF district representative, Ghulam Nabi Shah in their speeches threw light on the related issues.
The speakers highlighted the need of taking concrete steps for the welfare & rehabilitation of orphans, widows and destitute. Students from Government Girls Higher Secondary, Shopian & Reshinagri also spoke on the occasion.
A large number of teachers, students and citizens attended the seminar.
