Lal Singh sends Ramnagar hospital’s absent staff to jail

JAMMU, Apr 25: BJP’s firebrand leader and Health Minister Lal Singh today ordered police to arrest entire staff of the sub- district hospital Ram Nagar which allegedly was out for a picnic while leaving patients in lurch.
Reports said that people, after finding the entire staff of the hospital absent from duty, telephoned Lal Singh and complained over the issue. Reports informed that Singh asked the concerned SSP to inquire the matter.
Police along with the local Sarpanch found the hospital staff including four doctors and other paramedics enjoying time at a nearby resort. It was later that the health minister ordered the immediate arrest of the entire hospital staff including the doctors and a case was registered against them.
Lal Singh confirmed saying it was unfortunate to find the staff of such essential service absent from duty. He added that action will be taken against those who are found violating the law.
