NCP criticises coalition govt for handling this natural calamity

JAMMU, Sep 16: A delegation led by Tariq Nar, Chairman Minority cell NCP J&K state and senior NCP leaders called on Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP President J&K state and took up the issue of flood affected areas of Jammu district like the worst conditions of roads and failure of electricity department which has not restored the electricity since 1 Septmeber 2014 to the border villages like Beaspur Paralah having population of 3500 , 5km away from the International border .
Former Minister has deputed all the NCP leaders to the whole state and regretted the callous attitude of the coalition govt and said in a statement after meeting various party workers from Kishtwar, Poonch, Reasi, Rajouri, Udhampur, Kathua and from Kashmir valley who have deputed a very gloomy picture of rehabitating the victims of this worst natural disaster. Singh said that in his 55 years active political career the present natural calamity is the worst , the total present coalition ministry and the administration have evaporated and victims have been largely evacuated by the Army Airforce and the Navy , the defence forces have proved to be a national force which has helped the people of Jammu and Kashmir during all the internal and external calamities .
Singh regretted that the expired ration like Rice and Atta which is being supplied in Gujjar nagar and other areas and the victims have to wait whole day to get this rotten ration and wanted an enquiry .
Singh met today some evacuated victims from Srinagar to Jammu like Mohd Akhtar Nizami Ex MLA Ramban- Banihal who has lost everything in Rajbagh locality in Srinagar and was evacuated by the Airforce to Pathankot and many such families who have lost every thing and have reached Jammu and staying in miserable condition and most of them are Diabetic and heart patients and are without clothing, medicines and Ration .
Singh Former rehabilitation minister appealed to Prime Minister that relief to the victims of this unprecedented natural calamity should be treated as under natural calamity which was given to cloud burst victims in Rajouri , Poonch and Jourian when he was rehabilitation minister and visited the site , the scale of which is very high and needs even more in rebuilding houses , reshaping lands which have been destroyed by the floods besides entire infrastructure which has been totally collapsed.
