NEW DELHI,Aug 6: Hundreds of Panthers Party volunteers organized a massive memorial gathering in New Delhi, the Indian capital paying homage to nearly 300,000 civilians (unarmed) in Hiroshima and Nagaski who were burnt alive in seconds by the first use of atom bomb by United States in Hiroshima on 6th August, 1945 and in Nagasaki on 8th August, 1945.
The Panthers Party volunteers observed two minute silence in the memory of those who were turned into ashes by the first use of the bombs by United States of America against Japan. The latest estimate has been taken as 292, 325 persons killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the atom bombs.
Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party & Member of National Integration Council while speaking to the NPP activists condemned United States for using atom bombs against humanity 69 years back and still they are not ashamed of their most heinous crime against humanity. He referred the highly condemnable attitude of the United States of America that its Ambassador in Japan, Caroline Kennedy did not care to lay a wreath at the ceremony of the dead or spoke a word to condole the most inhuman massacre of the innocent Japanese in 1945.
Prof.Bhim Singh appreciated the remarks of the Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe on the occasion of 69th bombing ceremony in Hiroshima that, “Japan has the obligation to realize a world without nuclear weapons”. The Japanese Prime Minister pledged at the memorial gathering that Japan will continue to ban production, possession or permitting the introduction of nuclear weapons in the country.
Prof.Bhim Singh who has been visiting Hiroshima during bombing ceremony since 1973 called on the world powers to stop building nuclear arsenals, Atom or any other weapon so that the world may live in peace, dignity and harmony. He accused the countries which have been piling nuclear arsenals and selling it to the developing countries only to flourish their trade and earned money out of the blood of the innocent people across the world in Asia, Africa or elsewhere.
