JAMMU, Apr 28: Magsaysay awardee and the vice president Socialist Party of India Dr Sandeep Pandey today stated that the level of degradation in the country had increased and the people themselves needed to step in and make it right.
Delivering his presidential address in a seminar organised by the Internationalist Democratic Party (IDP) on the topic “Crisis in India and its political alternative” here today, Dr Pandey advocated that Jammu Kashmir should be accepted in united form as single entity under new complete federal constitution applicable to both sides of the state.

His other suggestions included federalising the system by recasting the constitution and law, granting of the right to recall and right to reject, separating state from religion, reservation on economic basis, repealing of undemocratic laws such as Official Secrets Act, Contempt of Court Act.
The state secretary of the party J A Kazmi in his introduction articulated some poetic verses and stressed upon the need for challenging the present corporate society which he said was overtaking the world.
