J&K team shines in 11th Jr National Wushu C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 11: J&K Wushu team won 3 medals in the 11th Junior National Wushu championship at Patna in Bihar from February 5 to 9. Bhanu Pratap Singh secured consecutive second gold medal in the Junior National Wushu Championship. Bhanu Pratap Singh has earned birth in the Senior National Wushu Coaching camp at SAI Bhopal, in view the forthcoming 17th Asian games at Incheon (Korea) in 2014,this was disclosed by Inspector Kuldeep Handoo Member of Selection committee of Wushu Association of India and National Coach.
The Amandeep Singh and Rocky Singh secured silver and Bronze medals while as 6 players lost quarter final bouts. The National Wushu coaching will commence at SAI Bhopal in the month of April 2013. The winner up trophy went to Manipur and runner up and second runner up trophy went to MP and Jharkhand respectively.
In the last Junior National Wushu championship at Jharkhand J&K state Wushu got fourth place with 6 medals. The 21st Senior National Wushu championship will be held at Kolkata (WB) from March 28 to 31.
The Wushu Association of J&K will held a Selection trial for the Senior National Wushu championship at Martial Art Hall Police Stadium Gulshan Ground on February 20.
