JAMMU, Aug 21 (JNF): 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjeev Gupta has awarded three years rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 10,000 to Syed Asif Ali Shah son of Syed Wajid Ali Shah of Multan (Pakistan), who entered into the Indian territory without valid documents.
According to the police case, on May 29, 2012 army officials posted at Army Post Chakla noticed some movement in the bushes in the area but due to darkness nothing could be traced. The search operation was launched in the early morning at about 3 AM on the same day the army patrol party spotted a person who had infiltrated to Indian side moving near the fence. On seeing army personnel, he ran and hid himself in the Sarkanda bushes but later on after extensive search, he was apprehended in the territory of Indian side. He on questing disclosed his name as Syed Ali Shah. He was taken to army unit and later on handed over to the police.
Police after completion of investigation presented challan under section 14-A Foreigners Act and 3 Passport Act.
