Farooq greets people on Eid-ul-Fitr

SRINAGAR, Aug 18 : National Conference President and Union Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah, has greeted the people of the state and Muslims across the world on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the party spokesman, he wished peace, progress and prosperity for all. "Eid forges bond of harmony and peace among people and brings boundless joy and a message of bliss for mankind after the month-long self-restraint [fasting]” he said.
"Eid gives us the unique philosophy of peace and compassion. It unites all human beings with the bond of equality," he said.
Meanwhile other party leaders also greeted the people on Eid-ul-Fitr including, General Secretary Sheikh Nazir Ahmed, Additional General Secretary Dr. Mustafa Kamal, In their message they said as Muslims, being inspired with the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr, it is our responsibility to extend helping hands to the neglected and deprived people of society.
Party Spokesman Tanvir Sadiq also wished the people of the state a happy and prosperous Eid-ul-fitr.
