SRINAGAR, Apr 18(Agencies): Dismissing the allegations levelled against by PHE Minister Sham Lal Sharma, Director, Communication and Capacity Development Unit (CCDU) Mir Najeebullah Thursday said that he was seriously thinking to sue Sharma for, what he said, “bringing a slur to his name.”

“There is rift between Taj Mohi-u-Din and Sham Lal Sharma and that is why I am becoming a soft target,” he said during a hurriedly called press conference in Srinagar on Thursday evening.

According to a news agency CNS, Najeebullah said that there was no truth in the allegations levelled against him and Sharma was trying to settle personal scores with Taj Mohi-ud-din and he was being made the scapegoat in between the two.

He said that the committee constituted by Sham Lal Sharma had furnished the report on the instructions and guidance of Ministry.

Najeebullah said that he had become a victim of political rivalry and the whole drama was being staged to cover up the lapses committed by Sharma in his erstwhile Ministry.

“The CCDU is open to any independent and impartial enquiry. We are urging government to frame House Committee so that reality will come to the surface on its own,” said Najeebulah.
