Naaz holds State Advisory Board meeting
POONCH, Oct 22 : Meeting of District Officers, Zonal Education Officers, Members of State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar & Bakerwal was held at Dak bunglow Poonch under the chairmanship of Bashir Ahmed Naaz Vice chairman (MOS) State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar & Bakerwal J&K.

District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Sajad Ahmed Khan was also present.

The Tribal Sub Plan (SCA to TSP and Article 275-I), scholarship, Anganwadi Centre, Construction Houses under IAY, Implementation of Government order No: 635 of 2010, construction of PMGSY road and various works to be under taken within Municipal limits of Poonch town and other affairs of schedule tribe were discussed.

It was informed that last year allocation under SCA to TSP was Rs. 264.48 lacs against which Rs. 183.47 lacs (including Rs. 89.81 lacs revalidated amount of 2011-12 for 2012-13) was made available which was utilized in full and 186 work were taken under various sectors under Article 275-I Rs. 173.61 lacs(including Rs 44.00 lacs revalidated amount of 2011-12 for 2012-13) was made available which was utilized in full and 152 works were taken up. Liability to the tune of Rs. 161.33 lacs under SCA to TSP and Rs. 49.50 lacs under article 275(i) for the year 2012-13 shall be cleared during the current financial year. Further, an amount of Rs. 308.40 lacs was utilized for pre matric scholarship of 39186 G&B students. In the meeting it was explained that there is no need of caste certificates and Income Certificates for any of the categories like SC/ST, Phari and OBC students for pre-matric scholarships.

Issue regarding delay in payment of MGNREGA wages, rationalization of teachers, standardizing of educational system, providing of seeds by Agriculture Department and reviewing of plant distribution system by Horticulture Departments were discussed in detail. Regarding electric department the Exn. Engineer PDD Poonch apprised that the process of repair of electric lines and erection of poles for the purpose is under process.
