Sham asks students to vigorously participate in sports

JAMMU, Oct 21: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma today said that coalition government is keen to promote sports activities in the State.
The Minister was addressing a function after witnessing the annual aquatic meet held at J K Public School, Kunjwani with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister complimented the students for their outstanding performances. He appreciated the efforts of school administration for arranging such tournaments saying that these events provide a much needed platform to students exhibit their talent and help in making their way for higher sports opportunities at national and International levels.
The Minister urged upon the students and sports lovers to take part in such events with full zeal and enthusiasm so that it can be helpful for their all round development.
The other dignitaries present were Raj Daluja, Chairman J K Educational Society, Davinder Daluja, Siddharth Daluja and Gautam Daluja.
Earlier, the Minister took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of various houses of the school.
Jyotsna Bhalla, Co-ordinator J K Public School Kunjwani welcomed the guests.
The entire event was divided into three segments in which students from class U.K.G to XII participated. The show became more elegant with the spice of folk dance put forth by the JKiians followed by an aquatic fusion which filled the atmosphere with its fragrance. The performance of JKiians was really breath taking. The Minister distributed prizes among the winners of the event.
Ukshay Sharma and Annanya Thappa were declared the best swimmer and Roll on Trophy was bagged by yellow house which was received by Savinder Kaur, the House Master.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by the Headmistress J K Public School Kunjwani, Sarita Kaul.
