Two killed, 15 injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Oct 16: Two persons were killed and fifteen others injured in separate road mishaps in Jammu, today.
Police said that one person was killed and eleven other injured in Tempo Traveler-Trawler collision at Sidhra under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nagrota, last night. All twelve passengers travelling in tempo Traveler were seriously injured and they were shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital. One of them was pronounced as brought dead by the doctors.
The deceased has been identified as Shalender Kumar, son of Bama Shanker of Ranchi.
The injured admitted to the GMC hospital were identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Madan Lal, Sushma Devi, wife of Anil Kumar, Babu, son of Satinder Kumar, Om, son of Suraj Parkash, Anil Kumar all residents of Jharkhand, Farman Ali, son of Nazir Mohammad of Samba, Anil Kumar, son of Banarsi Lal, Tanu, son of Shalinder Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, son of Anil Kumar, Reena, wife of Shalinder Kumar and Amisha, daughter of Anil Kumar all residents of Ranchi.
The body was shifted to GMC hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Police have seized both the vehicles and registered a case in this connection.
In another incident, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Talab Tillo last night.
The deceased has been identified as Kalu Ram Gupta, son of Gian Chand Sharma of Viushal Nagar, Talab Tillo.
The body was shifted to GMC hospital mortuary where after autopsy it was handed over to the family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, four persons were injured in other road mishaps and they were hospitalized.
