Petition seeks CBI probe in Gen Singh’s allegations

JAMMU, Oct 3 (JNF): In a petition seeking CBI probe in former Army General V K Singh’s allegations in misuse of secret service funds, High Court directed Registry to see whether the petition can be treated as PIL.
A petition has been filed in the state High court seeking CBI probe in alleged misuse of secret service funds. Justice Tashi Rabstan of J&K High Court Jammu wing after hearing Advocate Rahul Bharti directed Registry to see whether the petition is treated as PIL.
The petition has been filed by Sudarshan Singh Wazir seeking direction to CBI for registration of FIR and investigate the matter pertaining to the media report which has come in public domain about the use of secret service funds by the by Retired General V K Singh.
In the petition, it has been submitted that alive to the political scenario in J&K which is passing through a very crucial period of history where any wrong action on the part of persons holding the authority at appropriate places will have catastrophic effect on the future of the state, is shaken by the media reports which shows that the legitimate funds created by the centre for ensuring safety and security of the country have been misused to destabilize the security concerns of the country and to overthrow the government in J&K which has been elected by the majority.
The petitioner sought direction to CBI to investigate the report which had come in media about use of secret service funds by Retired General V K Singh for toppling the J&K government and for other illegal activities.
