Samba, Kathua, Reasi will also observe Bandh

JAMMU, Sept 26: The state unit of BJP has called for Jammu bandh tomorrow in protest against the twin militant attack on Police Station in Hiranagar and also on army camp in Samba which claimed at least 10 lives on Thursday.
Similar call for Bandh has been given by its district units in Samba, Kathua and Reasi districts.
Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and Hindustan Shiv Sena have also extended their support to Bandh call.
J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHCBA) too has decided to suspend work in the High Court Jammu wing as well as subordinate courts tomorrow in protest against the militant attack. In the meanwhile, the district administration Jammu has ordered the closure of all educational institutions, both government and private, in Jammu district tomorrow in the wake of prevailing law and order situation.
Today also the functioning in the High Court Jammu wing as well as Subordinate Court complex Janipur Jammu suffered as the J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu suspended work in protest against the militant attack.
JKHCBA has appealed to all Bar Associations of Jammu region to support its call for protest demonstrations and abstain from work in their respective courts.
Earlier the decision to give a call for Jammu Bandh tomorrow was taken by the state unit of BJP this afternoon in a meeting held at party headquarters under its state president Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with the leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, national executive member Dr Nirmal Singh and state general secretary Ashok Kaul.
Jugal appealed the Bar Association, business, trade, industry, educational and transport organizations to extent their full support to make the bandh successful so that a clear message should go to the government that people were not going to tolerate the approach of the union government towards militancy.
Khajuria also appealed for cooperation from all the organizations to make bandh call successful.
JCCI president Y V Sharma, while talking to KTNS, confirmed that the Chamber too had extended its support to Jammu Bandh call of BJP tomorrow in protest against the militant attack.
The work in the High Court Jammu wing as well as Subordinate Court complex Janipur Jammu suffered on Thursday due to work suspended by the J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu in protest against the militant attack on army camp and Police Station.
In a meeting under the chairmanship of senior advocate M K Bhardwaj president of the J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu condemned the cowardly and deceitful attack by the militants in army dress on Hiranagar Police Station and thereafter on an army camp at Samba after killing civilians enroute, in which number of police and army personnel were killed.
In protest against the militant attack, JKHCBA, Jammu abstained from work in all the courts including the High Court today and decided to suspend its work tomorrow also and hold protest demonstration.
An appeal to all Bar Associations of Jammu region to support its call for protest demonstrations and abstain from work in their respective courts was also made. Further an appeal was made to all the political parties, organisations, members of civil society and citizens to hold peaceful protest demonstrations against the innocent killings by the militants and failure of the government to protect the person and property of its citizens.
Later in the evening, Hindustan Shiv Sena also gave a call for Jammu Bandh tomorrow.
