Science Exhibition under INSPIRE Awards concludes

JAMMU, Sep 18 : The State Institute of Education, Jammu conducted its 2nd level science exhibition under INSPIRE Award Scheme at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar Jammu.
Director School Education, Jammu, G. A. Qureshi inaugurated the valedictory function in presence of judges from University of Jammu, Jr. Director (trgs), A. C. Aima alongwith SIE faculty, Chief Education Officers, Principals of DIETs, State Nodel Officer INSPIRE, Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, teachers fraternity escort officers accompanying the children, mentor teachers.
Qureshi said that such exhibitions play vital role in preparing the students to exhibit their talent through their models.
In the exhibition 200 models were displayed by the students of various schools of the state. A team of three judges, Prof Manoj Dhar, Bio Technology Department, Prof. Rajni Kant Physics Department, Prof. K. K. Kapoor, Chemistry Department, University of Jammu keenly examined all the models and announced first three ranks on the merit basis who shall later participate in the National Level Exhibition and Project Competitions (NLEPC) being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 21st to 23rd October, 2012.
The first position was bagged by Shivani Kumar, GMS Shikli Giran Kullian, Jammu whereas Satvinder Singh GMS Rajpura, Rajouri and Ridham Jamwal, GGHSS Bakshi Nagar Jammu got the second and third ranks respectively.
