2 smugglers held with 5 Qtl Nagshatri in Kathua

JAMMU, Sep 20: Police claimed to have arrested two smugglers and seized 14 bags of plastic filled with forest products of Nagshatri in Kathua.
Police during naka checking at Kharkra Morh intercepted one car bearing registration number HR-99 NW 3939 driven by Amit Kumar son of Madan Lal of Rodi Ward number 11 Khana House number 102 district Ludhiana, Punjab and his associate Pawan Kumar son of Jagdish Kumar of Hadda Rodi House number 5 Khana district Ludhiana.
During search of said car police recovered 14 bags of plastic filled with forest products of Nagshatri weighing about 5 Quintals. The vehicle alongwith consignment was seized and both the accused and Nagshatri was handed over to Divisional Forest Officer Forest division Kathua for further legal action.
