65-year old woman ‘raped’ in Reasi

REASI, Sep 17: A 65-year-old woman was alleged raped by a drunkard youth in Reasi, Sunday night.
Police claimed to have arrested the accused Parshotam, 25, son of Hans Raj of Adhar Ballian (Reasi) and registered a case under section 376 RPC against him.
Police said that 65-year-old woman resident of Dhano at present Cambel Danga (Reasi) was on her way home after cleaning utensils at a marriage hall Sunday night when the inebriated youth dragged her to an isolated forest area and allegedly committed rape whole Sunday night.
The victim informed police in the morning after which the accused was arrested by the police.
The woman was subjected to medical examination and her statements were recorded.
