Fitness certificate required to be displayed on wind screen

NEW DELHI, Mar 03: The government has proposed mandatory display of the fitness certificate validity, along with the vehicle's registration number, on the wind screen on the upper edge of the left side in bold script in yellow colour on the blue background.
This applies to all four-wheelers as also auto-rickshaw, e-rickshaw, e-cart and quadricycle or on the conspicuous part of the vehicle if no wind screen is fitted. In case of motorcycles and two wheelers, this has to be exhibited on the conspicuous part of the vehicle.
The proposals are incorporated in the draft notification under the central motor vehicles rules as published in the Gazette on February 28, inviting objections and suggestions within 30 days.
