Militant killed in encounter

SRINAGAR, Feb 07: A militant has been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Awantipora on Monday evening, police said here.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the encounter broke out in Nambal village of Awantipora today evening.
He said that during the ensuing encounter one militant has been killed, while searches were going on.
The official said that identity and affiliation of the slain was being ascertained.
