Teenager injured in bear attack in Dooru

ANANTNAG, Oct 7: A 20-year-old boy was critically injured after a wild bear attacked him in Lisser Top Dooru area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Thursday afternoon.
Reports said a wild bear appeared near an orchard in Lisser Top area of Dooru here at around 5.00 PM on Thursday and attacked the boy, identified as Saddam Khan son of Mohd Yousuf Khan a resident of Lower Munda Qazigund, injuring him critically.
The injured was shifted to Model Hospital Dooru for advanced treatment where doctors referred him to GMC Anantnag for further treatment.
Reports said that the boy went for collecting flock of sheep but on way he was attacked and seriously injured by Wild bear. Meanwhile, locals heard the cries for help and rushed towards spot and saved him.
Locals have appealed to administration and concerned department to send a team to the area to capture the bear.
