Goa's film festival off to January

NEW DELHI, Sep 24: The International Film Festival of India will be held in Goa from January 18 to 24 instead of the usual practice of holding it from November 20 to 28 and that too in a hybrid format of virtual and physical.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadkar announced the posstponement in view of the Coronavirus pandemic after discussing it with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. An I&B Ministry press note said both jointly decided to postpone the festival to January, as per the festival guidelines and protocols.
It won't be a usual festival. It will be conducted in a Hybrid format i.e. Virtual & Physical format. All COVID related protocols will be strictly enforced as convened recently in the International Film Festival circuit.
