J&K reports 20 more Corona deaths in 24 hours; Toll 1103

#IAS officer among 1235 new cases, total 67670 #21485 active positive cases, 43734 recovered

JAMMU, Sep 22: Coronavirus death toll in Jammu and Kashmir crossed to a thousand mark as the Union Territory on Tuesday recorded 20 more deaths in the last 24 hours.
While 11 more deaths due to coronavirus were reported from Kashmir division, the remaining nine were residents of Jammu Division. With these deaths the toll due to the pestilence in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 1103.
Reports said that 60 yrs old patients from Gandhinagar expired today at GMC Jammu. This is second death reported from Gandhinagar area of Jammu. Another 60 yrs old from Purani Mandi Jammu and 80 years old from Gandhinagar died today.
However, Senior IAS officer among 1235 new novel coronavirus cases reported from Jammu and Kashmir , taking the total count to 67670.
Report said that the said IAS officer came from Srinagar by air and during the Rapid test at air port his result found positive.
Giving district-wise breakup of the cases, official sources told that Srinagar reported 210, Budgam 59, Baramulla 30, Pulwama 62, Anantnag 28, Bandipora 36, Kupwara 22, Ganderbal 21, Kulgam 12, Shopian 19, Jammu 253, Rajouri 68, Udhampur 64, Kathua 41, Doda 98, Samba 52, Poonch 73, Ramban 35, Reasi 15 and Kishtwar 37.
Of the total 66,261 cases, 42,059 are from Kashmir and 24,202 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 1,235 new cases, 499 belong to Kashmir division while as 736 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 42,059 including 32,277 recoveries and 789 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 24,202 including 11,457 recoveries and 253 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 21,485 including 8,993 from Kashmir division and 12,492 from Jammu division.
With 1,619 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 43,734 which is 66.002 percent of the total cases and was over 78 percent over two weeks back.
Notably, the active cases have reached over 21,000 in Jammu and Kashmir and active cases in Jammu division are more than recovered cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K included 210 from Srinagar, 59 from Budgam, 30 from Baramulla, 62 from Pulwama, 28 from Anantnag, 36 from Bandipora, 22 from Kupwara, 21 from Ganderbal, 12 from Kulgam and 19 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 736 from Jammu division include 253 from Jammu, 68 from Rajouri, 64 from Udhampur, 41 from Kathua, 98 from Doda, 52 from Samba, 73 from Poonch, 35 from Ramban, 15 from Reasi and 37 from Kishtwar,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours, 18 persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died which include 11 from Kashmir division and seven from Jammu division.
As per media bulletin, patients who have died include four from Srinagar, three from Anantnag and two each from Baramulla and Bandipora in Kashmir division while as 07 from Jammu division include five from Jammu district and two from Doda.
As per officials figures, 13,409 positive cases including 272 deaths and 11,11 recoveries are from Srinagar, 4,483 including 78 deaths and 2,788 recoveries are from Budgam, 3,953 including 2,651 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Baramulla, 3,650 including 3,019 recoveries and 63 deaths are from Pulwama, 3,316 including 62 deaths and 2,445 recoveries are from Anantnag, 3,213 including 2,212 recoveries and 34 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,243 cases including 2,305 and 63 deaths are from Bandipora, 2,637 including 2,011 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,200 including 2,001 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kulgam and 1,955 including 1,731 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 10,675 including 4,669 recoveries and 143 deaths are from Jammu district, 2,220 including 940 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Rajouri, 1,891 including 1,191 recoveries and 10 deaths are from Udhampur, 1,794 including 1,104 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Kathua, 1,843 including 611 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Doda, 1,500 including 664 recoveries and 12 deaths are from Samba, 1,453 including 580 recoveries and 09 deaths are from Poonch, 1,127 including 742 recoveries and 06 deaths are from Ramban, 781 including 465 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Reasi and 918 including 491 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 551,008 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 28,480 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 21,485 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 438,048 persons have completed surveillance period and 61,953 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 1,436,409 samples are available.
Out of 1,436,409 the number of samples tested negative stands at 1,370,148 while 66,261 have tested positive, among them 21,485 are active, 43,734 persons have recovered and 1042 persons have died.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 66261 positive cases, 21485 are Active Positive, 43734 have recovered and 1042 have died; 253 in Jammu division and 789 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 1436409 test results available, 1370148 samples have been tested as negative till September 22, 2020.
Till date 551008 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for observation which included 28480 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 21485 in isolation and 61953 under home surveillance. Besides, 438048 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 13409 positive cases (including 210 cases reported today) with 2023 Active Positive, 11114 recovered (including 232 cases recovered today), 272 deaths; Baramulla has 3953 positive cases (including 30 cases reported today) with 1184 Active Positive, 2651 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today), 118 deaths; Pulwama reported 3650 positive cases (including 62 cases reported today) with 568 active positive cases, 3019 recovered (including 38 cases recovered today), 63 deaths; Kulgam has 2200 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 156 Active Positive, 2001 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today), 43 deaths; Shopian has 1955 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 194 Active Positive, 1731 recovered, 30 deaths; Anantnag district has 3316 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today) with 809 Active Positive, 2445 recovered (including 74 cases recovered today), 62 deaths; Budgam has 4483 positive cases (including 59 cases reported today) with 1617 Active Positive and 2788 recovered (including 168 cases recovered today), 78 deaths; Kupwara has 3243 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today) with 875 Active Positive, 2305 recovered (including 27 cases recovered today), 63 deaths; Bandipora has 3213 positive cases (including 36 cases reported today) with 967 Active Positive, 2212 recovered (including 102 cases recovered today), 34 deaths and Ganderbal has 2637 positive cases (including 21 cases reported today) with 600 active positive cases, 2011 recoveries (including 85 cases recovered today) and 26 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 10675 positive cases (including 253 cases reported today) with 5863 active positive cases, 4669 recoveries (including 503 cases recovered today), 143 deaths; Rajouri has 2220 positive cases (including 68 cases reported today) with 1254 active positive cases, 940 recovered (including 26 cases recovered today), 26 deaths; Ramban has 1127 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today) with 379 active positive, 742 recoveries (including 23 cases recovered today), 06 deaths; Kathua has 1794 positive cases (including 41 cases reported today) with 675 Active positive, 1104 recovered (including 37 cases recovered today), 15 deaths; Udhampur has 1891 positive cases (including 64 cases reported today) with 690 active positive cases, 1191 recovered (including 107 cases recovered today), 10 deaths; Samba has 1500 positive cases (including 52 cases reported today) with 824 Active Positive, 664 recoveries, 12 deaths; Doda has 1843 positive cases (including 98 cases reported today) with 1210 active positive cases, 611 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Poonch has 1453 positive cases (including 73 cases reported today) with 864 active positive, 580 recoveries (including 66 cases reported today), 09 deaths; Reasi has 781 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 311 active positive, 465 recoveries (including 58 cases recovered today) and 05 deaths while Kishtwar has 918 positive cases (including 37 cases reported today) with 422 active positive cases and 491 recoveries (including 50 cases reported today) and 05 deaths.
According to the bulletin, of the total 66261 positive cases in J&K 8358 have been reported as travellers while 57903 as others.
