Amid Coronavirus scare search operations continue

SRINAGAR, Mar 31: Amid Coronavirus scare, the government forces launched a nocturnal cordon and search operation in Samboora Pampore area, reports a local news agency KNT.
Eyewitnesses told KNT that soldiers from 50 Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force personnel laid a siege around Samborra at 6.00 AM on Monday evening that culminate on 12.30 of the night.
Witnesses added that besides conducting door-to-door searches, people were asked to come out and thoroughly questioned.
“One the one hand we are scared of Coronavirus while on the other these search operations give us sleepless nights,” said a local to KNT.
Another search operation was launched during wee hours at Malik Mohalla Marval village of Kakapora. Door-to-door searches were conducted and the identity cards of the people were checked. However, no contact with militants was established during the search operation.
Valley is in lock-down mode in wake of Coronavirus scare. Two persons have died and over 50 people have been tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Kashmir. These include two kids as well.
